I began my professional career at 19 while also studying Accounting at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.  I started in an entry level accounting position with a Florida-based food distribution and meat packaging company. Within two years, I was leading financial operations and reporting for the Orlando facility as well as advising at two South Florida facilities. That corporate owned, fast-paced, high-responsibility environment taught me not just about numbers — but about systems, controls,  logistics, team dynamics, and what it really takes to keep a business running day to day.

After 7 years I moved on and was fortunate to spend the rest of my career working for — and learning from a group of local entrepreneurs who had their hands in a little bit of everything.  The best ones didn’t just teach me — they trusted me. They let me take the reins on the parts of the business most people avoid: the back office, the paperwork, the systems, the strategy, and the structure.

Even though I am trained as Accountant my job has never just been about accounting.  It’s been about solving real business problems.  It’s been about seeing the bigger picture.  And it’s been about being the person owners can actually count on.  It is because of that trust, I’ve been able to wear every hat you can imagine. I’ve been the person who just figures it out — whether that meant handling payroll one week or building a compliance tracker the next.
